Emma (CD, CPNE, CBE, CBC, CPD)

Certified Birth Doula, Certified Perinatal Nutrition Educator, Certified Childbirth Educator, Certified Breastfeeding Counselor, Certified Postpartum Doula)

Emma is from Haverhill, Massachusetts, and her passion for supporting families began while working as an infant teacher and nanny, which inspired her to become a Postpartum Doula. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she loves helping families feel supported, confident, and cared for as they welcome their newest addition.

Outside of supporting families, you’ll usually find Emma practicing yoga, out on the boat, or enjoying time by the ocean with her family and friends.

What are clients saying…

Emma Hayes has supported our family for the past three years. She began as an after-

school caregiver for our son, Micah, picking him up from school and taking him on

outings to the playground, the library, and his new favorite, TJ Maxx. She prepared his

dinner and got him ready for bed while we commuted home from work. Over time,

Emma became an extended member of our family, and we had no hesitation asking her

to become our doula/nanny before our daughter’s birth in October 2025. Payton’s arrival

came with challenges: she was born early with IUGR, and I was hospitalized for

postpartum preeclampsia. When Payton was just six days old, Emma cared for her

almost entirely on her own while I recovered in the hospital. We were Emma’s first

Doula client, but you never would have known. Her calm, steady presence in our home

during that time was invaluable; I could not have managed without her. Since then, she

has helped with overnights, full days, and everything in between. I always know Payton

and Micah are in excellent hands. Emma brings steadiness to the chaos of early

childhood. She understands sleep schedules, baby safety, and child development, and

she communicates clearly and efficiently. She is organized, tidy, and an excellent

multitasker. She can care for two children with ease while remaining fun and patient with

our preschooler.

As our family has settled into a new routine, I look forward to the days Emma spends

with Payton because I know they will be engaging and enriching for our 8-month-old.

Together, they go on grocery runs, take walks downtown, attend indoor playdates, and

explore sensory activities. Emma is always thinking of new, age-appropriate ways to

engage Payton. She also manages visits with early intervention therapists and actively

supports Payton’s strength-building and development. Emma is truly part of our family.

She is a welcome presence on any family trip or gathering, and I am proud to write this

review for her. Although the thought of her moving on nearly brings me to tears, I know

our time with her will eventually come to an end. Whichever family has the good fortune

to work with her next will have won the doula lottery. I could not do this without her, and

I will never be able to fully express how grateful I am.
